Explore the opportunity of world-changing work available to you below.The Manufacturing and Life Sciences Business Group of CH2M HILL has an opening for a Mechanical Group Leader in the Somerset, New Jersey office. This position functions as Lead Designer, Design Specialist and Project Engineer and will possess a high degree of technical expertise of HVAC and utility systems for industrial and pharmaceutical facilities. This position requires a minimum of 15 years experience and a P.E. with the last 5 years as a Sr. Engineer supervising others. The successful candidate will:  Establish design concepts and design data for work assigned to group and assure technical accuracy and conformance to project requirements. Prepare engineering and staffing schedules. Develop department scopes of work. Monitor and advise Department Manager and Project Manager of project changes. Develop project plan and executes within budget. Supervise the work of several groups within the Mechanical Department. Assist in development of employees and provide input on employee performance appraisal to Department Manager. Represent department in coordinating with other departments, Project Managers and Clients.
