Mechanical Project Engineers

Position Description:

This is a challenging and interesting senior-level engineering position that will provide you with a variety of mechanical engineering responsibilities as well as supervisory and oversight roles and growth potential.You will be involved in nuclear power plant systems design and modification; sizing, specifying, and selection of mechanical components and equipment; systems analysis and related design calculation development and review. You will be working in a team environment and may be required to provide technical direction and informal mentoring to others. Additionally, you’re previous experience should support your involvement in estimating and scheduling projects, establishing the proper resources, and ensuring timely, cost-effective and high quality project completion.Client interface will be required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.Opportunities exist for this position in the Wilmington Delaware office. In addition, you will have opportunities for periodic domestic, short-term (no more than 10% to 25%) travel, primarily to client facilities in the Carolinas.

Qualifications:

A BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering and at least 15 years of related mechanical systems, design, and engineering experience are required. Knowledge of overall flow system design elements including component specification development, piping design including material selection and layout, stress modeling and hydraulic analysis capabilities a plus. Should be familiar with typical applicable codes/standards, such as ASME, ANSI, etc. and should be knowledgeable on typical Pressurized Water Reactor design. A Professional Engineering License, with reciprocity allowance, is highly desirable.This position requires the successful completion of a background check, including a check of criminal records and drug/alcohol screening for unescorted nuclear plant access.
