Mechanical Receiving Inspector A SUMMARY: Perform visual, mechanical measurements, Spot Welding, Pressure Test, Volume Test, Flow Test, NDT Test, as required on purchased, processed outside and processed in house to assure conformance of purchasing and / or Engineering Documentation, under moderate supervision. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Verifies that the Purchase Order and / or Work Order and all associated documentation correspond relative to part number, revision and quality. 2. Performs visual, mechanical measurements and tests on all parts to assure compliance to company and customers specification. 3. Perform mechanical and dimensional inspection using scales, Micrometer, Height Gage, and Calipers etc. 4. Prepares and completes all necessary paperwork (records) for reporting acceptance/ rejections of incoming material. 5. Training inspectors B and C. 6. Assigned surveillance audits are completed. 7. Reviews the Purchase Order for mandatory Quality Requirements codes to assure the certification and/or test results comply. 8. Verify the equipment calibration status. 9. Performs other duties as assigned by Management. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to interpret / follow documents such as: Procedures, prints, Engineering Changes (EO') Work Orders and Work Instruction. 3. Ability to work with measurements, knowledgeable in Math, (Trigonometry) ANSI 14.5. 4. Inspect welds per Mil- Std -2219 Class C and knowledgeable of DOD100. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Technical Certificate or Technical Trade school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
