Mechanical Systems Engineer - ANAD Liaison

Education: Bachelor degree in engineering required.Work Experience Field: At least 7 years of job-related mechanical design experience. Experience with Defense engineering programs desired. Experience with armored and tracked vehicles desired. Pro-E experience desired.Special Skills: Working knowledge of MS Office applications required. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Current clearances highly desired. Job Description : EG&G is seeking a Systems Engineer with mechanical design experience to be a liaison at Anniston Army Depot in support of Marine Corps Product teams engaged in design, integration, testing, and production planning of armored combat engineer vehicles. Perform a variety of system engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of diverse systems and generally as a key member of a government - contractor design, analysis or review team. Provide systems engineering expertise working within a large, multi-disciplinary team. Essential Responsibilities: Perform a range of design, analysis or review tasks under minimal supervision. Generate complete design specifications and drawing packages. Coordinate and work closely with other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements. Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications. Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications. Conduct site visits, experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations. Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures. Support development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work. : : EOE M/F/D/V
