Mid Level Mechanical/Automotive Engineers - MRAP

Bachelor's degree in engineering is required - mechanical and automotive is preferred program. Degree in other engineering disciplines will be considered. Ideally would like 3 - 5 years experience, however, willing to consider recent college graduate. Experience in Department of Defense (DoD) programs, or commerical vehicle programs is highly desired. Experience in DoD vehicle programs is ideal. The ability to communicate well, both written and verbally, is essential. Position will require travel within U.S. Position requires ability to obtain a clearance -U.S. Citizenship required. Current Secret is desired. Job Description : EG&G is seeking an Mechanical/Automotive Engineers to join our team in support of the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Vehicles. The MRAP program is a highly accelerated joint service acquisition program lead by the US Marine Corps and considered to be the Defense Departments highest priority. The positions will provide technical support to several MRAP teams including International Programs, Cougar, and MRAPII vehicles. Primary duties include Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) analysis, assessments of vehicle design issues, and integration of systems into the MRAP Vehicle. Provide engineering support in the areas of quality assurance, configuration management, and reliability analysis. Support multiple technical working groups to represent program interests and generate technical position papers and inputs to acquisition documents. As part of an engineering team, the candidate will interface with engineers from other disciplines, as well as members of Acquisition, Logistics, and Test and Evaluation (T&E) teams. Propose and evaluate engineering changes and upgrades to vehicles and provide recommendations to Programs Clients. : : EOE M/F/D/V
