MINE ENGINEER

 

 

The Edw. C. Levy Co. is a multi-national group of more than 30 companies, including operations in nine states across the U.S.  Primary industries include steel mill services, sand and gravel mining and production and asphalt paving.  This position is responsible for assisting with the engineering requirements of mine planning, reclamation and land planning of company properties.

 

Principal ResponsibilitiesDrilling sites and gathering data used to identify quantity, quality and location of reserves Collaborating with operations and plant managers for the purpose of developing long term mine and  reclamation plansCollecting and providing field data using survey and GPS instrumentsPreparing, editing and maintaining mine and reclamation plans using AutoCAD, Autodesk Land Desktop, and SurvCADD to support planning and production goalsPreparing post mine planning and development plans using AutoCAD, Autodesk Land Desktop, and SurvCADDAssisting with the preparation of permit submittalsActing as a community liaisonPerforming other duties as assigned by supervisor
