Applied Minds, Inc. is currently seeking an exceptionally bright and talented Motion Graphics Designer to join our team.

This is a senior designer/artist position to work with large creative team to assist in a wide array of exciting and challenging projects from initial concept development through to final execution.

 

Candidates should posses the following: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field OR at least 3+ years of experience using OOP within Flash for the gaming, multimedia or Internet industries OR an equivalent combination of education and practical work experience. Ability to write advanced, well organized object oriented Action Script 3.0 code. Excellent analytical and communications skills, oral and written. Passion for creating original and inventive motion graphic solutions Ability to design and produce complex motion graphic and animation sequences from initial concepts and/or sketches Strong design sensibility with an emphasis on inventiveness and originality as it relates to use of type, design elements, composition, color, behaviors, filters, transitions, etc Strong interactive design skills Thorough technical understanding of all nuances within software listed below predominately Flash Action Script 3.0, After Effects, Photoshop and/or Final Cut Motion Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects Ability to work independently and be effective in a team setting Proficiency with the following software: Flash Action Script 3.0, Adobe After Effects 6.5/7.0, Adobe Photoshop CS2/CS3, Adobe Illustrator CS2/CS3, Adobe Flash 8/CS3, Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Motion Event-driven programming Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent interpersonal skills
