Location: Troy, Michigan

 

We need a world-class engineer for technical support of Altair’s multibody solution. Multibody simulation is one of the fastest growing technologies in the CAE industry. With a unique combination of solver, pre- and post-processing tools, Altair is rapidly emerging as a leader in multibody simulation.

 

The multibody simulation group at Altair is working on cutting edge problems in flexible multibody dynamics, contact modeling, controls, stiff integrators, optimization, automated modeling and visualization. At this position, you will be responsible for helping our customers derive the maximum benefits from our tools in solving problems in diverse industries. This is a position that requires a good blend of interpersonal skills and strong background in mechanics and mathematics.

 

Responsibilities

 Providing technical support to engineers worldwide via phone, email and site visits on  matters concerning:Application of Altair’s multibody solution to solve diverse problemsSoftware installation on various platformsConduct regular training classes and seminarsContribute to online documentation and QAProvide some customizations and scripting

 

Qualifications

 University degree in engineering, physics or mathematics (Ph.D. a plus)Strong theoretical background in mechanics and mathematicsStrong analytical skills Experience with multibody software a plusExcellent communications skillsVehicle dynamics simulation experience using ADAMS is a plusSome vehicle dynamics knowledgeSome chassis and suspension knowledgeUS citizenship REQUIRED
