Position Overview:Chevron Energy Technology Company is accepting online applications for the position of Onsite Well Test Engineer located in Houston, Texas and San Ramon, California.The position of Onsite Well Test Engineer will lend support to Chevron Operating Company and will supervise well testing on-site activities 50 – 80% of the time. The Onsite Well Test Engineer will review well test procedures and designs to meet objectives. The selected Engineer will work with vendors to ensure safety and functionality of on-site equipment and tools. This position will require the Engineer to supervise well testing activities on-site, monitor results and ensure that objectives are met, as well as provide status reports and post-test results to the Operating Companies (OPCOs) Qualifications:Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Supervise on-site well testing as a Chevron representative.• Develop well test procedures to meet design objectives. • Review vendors’ set-up and tools for safety and functionality. • Provide daily reports.• Travel frequently to international locations to support ongoing operations.• Contribute to building and inclusive work environment. • Presence on rig site operations.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:In order to be considered for this job, applicants must have:• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in Petroleum, Mechanical, Civil or Chemical. • A minimum of 3 years of directly related experience preferrably in on-site well testing and wellsite work procedures.• The willingness and ability to travel frequently.• The ability to supervise incident-free wellsite work operations.• The ability to modify procedures (pre-job), or during the dynamic well work environment.• The ability to achieve objectives without compromising safe operations and environmental protection. • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.• The ability to give work direction to service company personnel.• The ability to plan and direct testing operations to meet specific objectives.• Build and maintain good relationships with customers.• Work in partnership with customers to achieve improved business results.• Demonstrate high ethical standards in all business dealings. • Practice open, honest, multidirectional & effective communication. • Work effectively and cooperatively with others to achieve Company & Business Unit goals.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to the required qualifications, the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:• Knowledge of on-site well testing procedures and objectives.• Ability to review set-up, equipment, and tools for safety, environmental protection, and functionality. • Knowledge of reservoir / production engineering. • The ability to analyze well test data.Relocation Options:Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:US-TX-Houston Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Engineering
