Ocean - Mechanical/Civil Engineer

Makai’s pipeline group is looking for a talented and fast-learning ocean, mechanical or civil engineer, preferably with some outside work experience, to assist in project development, design analysis, detailed design tasks and construction management duties.  Areas of work will include design of deep water pipelines, reinforced concrete design tasks, structural design, assist in deep ocean surveys, writing proposal and reports, and a variety of other ocean engineering project responsibilities. Ability to think and write clearly and to learn new skills are important assets for this position.  Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Autocad are desirable skills. An ideal candidate would have an MS in Ocean Engineering, a BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and some relevant work experience. Candidates with lesser qualifications will be considered. Candidates should be U.S. citizens or possess a green card.
