Operations Research Analyst

DLB Associates is seeking a team-oriented, highly motivated Operations Research Analyst for our headquarters in Ocean, NJ. We offer full service Engineering Management and Construction services in the US and abroad.

 

The Operations Research Analyst will take a primary role in assisting the management team to find more efficient and effective ways to run operations (using space, personnel, and equipment more efficiently). This position will also work closely with the management team to coordinate and streamline the operational decision-making process.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following background:

 

· Master's degree in Operations Research.  Ph.D. in operations research or management science preferred.

· Undergraduate degree in mathematics, engineering, or economics.

· A minimum of 10 years of related experience.

· Strong background in applied mathematics.

· A thorough knowledge of computers and experience with a variety of data processing systems.

· Experience with data gathering, use of mathematical models to determine options and use of computers to find the optimum solution.

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as computer proficiency including MS Office Suite.

 

The candidate will also be:

 

· A problem solver; able to think logically; able to analyze many parts of a complex problem at the same time; able to use mathematics, engineering, scientific methods, and computer programming to solve problems.

· Knowledgeable about the Construction industry.
