We are in search of a motivated individual that has developed excellent fundamental skills in electrical engineering during formal academic training and is willing to work and continue learning in a team environment. Using both on the job training and selected in-house training courses you will continue to develop your overall skills. You will work within a team concept, first working with mentoring senior engineers and then gradually branching out to work on projects as the electrical lead. At CDM you will have the opportunity to develop business skills by assisting in the development of proposals, meeting clients and overseeing engineering budgets, technical skills through design and training courses and constructability skills through field observation and design/build tasks.

 

As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM's mission by: Performing conventional operations and maintenance assignments with minimal supervision Participating in the determination of operation or maintenance adjustmentsParticipating in determining appropriate operational and maintenance proceduresPreparing procedures manuals and writing O&M manuals Assisting in the coordination of manual production Providing operational or maintenance support by assisting plant operations staff with problem-solving and evaluation of operations and maintenance techniquesAssisting in developing training programs Assisting in plant and equipment start-up for plant personnel Performing complex field assignments Frequently contacting other operations specialists to discuss specific problems and receive supervision Having direct contact with client and client representatives to analyze problems and offer solutions Frequently contacting equipment suppliers and manufacturers' representativesRemaining current with the equipment specifications of O&M

 

A successful CDM candidate will have: A.S. in engineering or applied science (preferred) 3 - 5 years of operational experience Specialized knowledge of standard O&M practices and techniques Certificate as Water, Wastewater and/or Industrial Plant Operator Proven written and communicative skills

 

Work involves frequent contact with other operations specialists to discuss specific problems and receive supervision. Work also includes direct contact with client and client representatives to analyze problems and offer solutions. There is frequent contact with equipment suppliers and manufacturers' representatives requires being current with equipment specifications of O&M.
