Instrument Associates (www.instrumentassociates.com), a leader in the instrumentation, process automation, and industrial distribution field for over 50 years, seeks to hire an Outside Sales Representative with experience in industrial and/or technical sales to cover our Northeastern Illinois territory (other opportunities available). The outside sales rep will report directly to the sales manager and will work with an inside sales person to cover designated territories. This is an excellent earning opportunity for a salesperson with drive, dedication, and knowledge of technical and industrial products and processes.

To the qualified applicant we offer: Base in the $35,000 – $40,000 range plus commission, with potential earnings up to $75,000 + Health and dental insurance 401 (k) / Profit Sharing 10 paid holidays, including one’s own birthday 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year Company laptop

Responsibilities:Call on potential and existing customers (an average of 5 per day) to develop new business and manage current accounts Communicate effectively with vendors and customers to develop appropriate selling solutions Prospect new clients Follow up on quotes Same-day travel to client and vendor sites

Requirements:College degree preferred but not required Experience selling industrial, process animation, and/or technical products preferred Excellent communication skills Ability to understand and explain technical concepts and capabilities Proven ability to close sales Drive to make money and be successful in the sales role
