He/she will work with client companies to solve problems related to the product. Including design, manufacturability, quality, and delivery. When the client makes a product design change this person will determine the impact on our product and make the necessary design / manufacturing changes to meet the clients needs. Will be the person the client will contact to solve ALL problems related to the product. Some periodic travel to Japan or Europe may be required to visit the parent company or clients.   Qualifications:1)  Engineering Degree BSME OR RELATED DEGREE preferred.2)  Good previous experience in industry.3)  Mechanical aptitude - hands on experience with Marine drives, engines etc.4)  Good people skills5)  Good oral and written skills6)  Evidence of planning and completion.7)  Willing to travel nationally and internationally. Responsibilities include: 1. Utilization of variants of existing products to fulfill customer requirements, including making minor model changes as necessary. 2.Manage new projects assigned by coordinating among the various company departments and the customer. 3.Document and maintain applications information. 4. Manage prototype details (specification, schedule, assembly, shipping/receiving, coordinating information). 5.Ensure that all new projects and products meet section and corporate guidelines. 6. Apply engineering knowledge to solve internal and external quality issues as necessary. 7.Coordinate R&D activities with other departments within the company. 8. Design changes required by other departments, Customers, and Suppliers. 9.Design study for quality problems and cost down for production. 10. Perform design functions using Pro/Engineer. 11. Visit with client companies to determine their needs/requirements.12.
