…at Praxair Inc., a worldwide leader in industrial gases and related products. We seek this highly experienced professional to lead the team that manages costs and controls schedule activities for projects budgeted at $1M-$75M each.

Take on the role of Project Controls Manager, and take charge of 5-15 annual projects ranging from Engineering and Equipment/Materials Supply to Field Construction and Startup. To this end, you will oversee Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), while using MS Project, J.D. Edwards and other software to manage resource planning and create detailed project schedules plus budgets.

Duties include managing the work and professional development of 4-8 direct reports and identifying/creating process improvements. You will guide this Project Controls team in analyzing and monitoring project progress, field construction status, and equipment/material commitments. Managers also perform variance analysis using Earned Value methodology and identify problem areas in cost and schedule status.

Qualified Candidates Possess:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering – Master’s degree preferred10+ years of background in project management/controls, engineering management or business managementAt least 5 years of proven success in engineering & design5+ years of project controls or management experience with expertise in large industrial projects such as equipment/material procurement and construction Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, as needed
