Project Manager

SCOPE: To successfully and urgently drive all internal IPS projects while promoting and following the Project Management Office (PMO) framework and methodology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide project management expertise and discipline to IPS internal project leaders and project teams.
• Interface with project leaders to develop project charters, realistic schedules and risk assessments with mitigation plans.
• Ensure that projects are timely managed to successful completion according to plan.
• Report progress to Executive Committee.
• Invoke necessary escalation for problems and issues.
• Ensure that project and business goals are always met and in line with the IPS vision.
• Provide leadership in the definition, establishment and maintenance of effective PMO processes, systems and tools.
• Champion the PMO efforts within the organization.
• Support the building of internal relationships by providing timely information to enable clear communication.
• Ensure the PMO framework is used and followed
• Proactively participate in PMO coordination meetings to review and improve the PMO framework for state-of-the-art and effective process and systems.
• Ensure projects produce predictable results, on or ahead of schedule, executed in the most cost effective method

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• To scope, plan and manage various project sizes of varying disciplines including Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance, Delivery, Consulting, HR etc…
• To participate in weekly project reviews and monthly Executive committee review when required
• To continuously enforce the IPS vision in all duties

RELATIONSHIPS:

Liaison: Maintains close liaison with other PMO personnel

Works closely with project leaders

Works closely with the PMO infrastructure team for HR, IT and Finance.

Work with SCM when purchasing of material is required.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor degree in an engineering or business discipline

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in management position
