We are seeking to recruit an Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer.

 

Qualifications:
• Education in Plumbing and Fire Protection
• Between 2 and 6 years relevant experience

 

Job Purpose:
Duties include the production of co-ordinated detailed design drawings, modify specifications,  site surveys, schedules etc. on a variety of projects within the plumbing and fire protection discipline including;  sanitary and storm water drainage systems, domestic water systems, natural and medical gas systems along with fire protection system design.

This post requires a candidate who must have:
• Confident, proactive character, able to take the lead in challenging situations
• Good communication skills, experience in dealing with other employees
• Good IT skills
• Preference is for an individual who is fully conversant with the working practices employed by consulting engineers
• Autocad skills

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and competently work on an independent basis
• Prepare and take responsibility for concept and preliminary engineering solutions for detail design
• Prepare Technical Specifications
• Ensure senior staff is kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the client are achieved.
• Ensuring all relevant BH staff is informed of client matters
• Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the client’s best interests and that BH policy is in keeping with current codes
• Commitment to self learning/development
