Other duties may be assigned.1. Creates and develops information product and or system concepts or operating processes to fulfill business needs. Oversees major projects or systems within time and budgetary constraints. Develops, designs, plans, and implements, processes, systems and procedures utilizing standard engineering or technology principles to complete assignments.  Takes initiative to recommend projects, systems, or operational processes. 2. Identifies, investigates, and recommends improvements in products, systems, or processes to improve the application or operation.  Directs projects having significant impact on business operations. 3. Conducts engineering or systems analysis and experimentation to analyze application or operational feasibility and explore alternatives.  Tests the integration of equipment and systems to ensure compatibility.  Develops working prototypes or detailed plans and outlines and tests for compliance with needs. 4. Ensures the effective utilization or resources; human, material, and facility.  Plans and schedules projects, tests, and change to optimize utilization while meeting established time schedules and budgets. 5. Perform tradeoff between implementation, schedule and cost and resource constraints, and  recommend alternatives.  Provide technical feedback, inputs and consultation to other organizations involved in system design or implementation activities.  Participate in technology transfer initiatives among IT departments, R&D, and Product Engineering.  May work as a staff expert on teams that develop engineering practice and information technology architecture. 6. Provides work direction to a project team including less experienced engineers and technicians.  Makes work assignments, checks results, and provides instruction and training the application of sound engineering design. 7. Prepares product documentation, operating instructions, and reviews related technical literature. 8. Performs related duties as is necessary.Education and/or Experience   1. Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a closely related discipline to be determined by business needs or equivalent technical experience.  Master’s Degree preferred.  2. Minimum seven years related systems or engineering experience, or skills commensurate with 7 years systems or engineering experience.  3. Current technical knowledge and skills relative to business requirements and state of the art information technologies.  4. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; ability to work collaboratively with user, development, and support groups; good written and oral communications skills, flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.  5. Technical Certification as required by business need.  Ability to perform at multiple levels of abstraction.  6. Ability in modeling, and theoretical reasoning in the support, creation, and design of complex systems.  Ability to use several modeling techniques.  Ability to help users model in their own domains and in their own language.7. Knowledge of Residential Split systems market.8. Proven experience with HVAC service and/or product experience.9. HVAC and/or CAD background and integration skills preferred.
