Stanley Consultants, Inc., a growing and dynamic international consultant in engineering, land planning and survey has an immediate opening in our Austin, TX office for a Principal Mechanical Engineer.

In this position, you will serve as project manager and lead mechanical design engineer on higher education, healthcare, utility plant, and industrial projects.  The selected individual must have Must have strong technical knowledge of chillers, boilers, turbines, pumps, fans, engines, high temperature hot water heating installations, and high temperature hot water and steam piping systems.

Projects include:

· Design of central heating and cooling plants

· Campus-type utility distribution systems

· Power plant refurbishment projects

· Cogeneration studies and design implementation

· Central plant energy optimization projects

· Building mechanical systems

Technical responsibilities include:

· Conceptual plant design

· Cost estimates

· Coordination between engineering disciplines and client

· Preparation of specifications for equipment and systems

· Report preparation

· Supervision of technicians and EIT engineers

· Determining code requirements

· Reviewing design computations

· Reviewing drawings and technical specifications

· Traveling to manage projects

Requirements:

· BSME

· PE

· 10+ years relevant experience with the above duties and projects, especially as they relate to utility plants, central heating and chilled water plants, and utility distribution systems
