Principle Power Electronics Engineer

A highly recognized motion controls organization is looking for a Principle Power Electronics Engineer.  S/He will be responsible for working with an international team in the development of AC motor drives.  The Principle Power Electronics Engineer will lead sub contractors and internal team members in the development and implementation of the company’s products in addition to his/her individual design responsibilities.   The Principle Power Electronics Engineer will be responsible for: Key power electronics component selections, circuit topology, analysis techniques, and working with others to execute production quality designs Perform circuit and thermal tests and/or analysis to demonstrate design performance and quality Lead mixed marketing and engineering teams to create and write system and hardware specifications and implementation schedules. Work with development team, manufacturing engineers, as well as production personnel to resolve technical issues that are identified through the development and manufacturing process.  The qualified Principle Power Electronics Engineer will have a MSEE and a minimum of 5 years experience in power electronic design, power supply, and control or analog hardware circuit and PC board design.  Success in designing products that robustly comply with EMC/EMI system requirements and familiarity with power conversion international design and safety standards and international EMI requirements is needed.  This individual must have experience using software design CAD such as Spice, MatLab, MatLab Simulink, Schematic capture through layout software design flow. Please email your resume to jlong@mriraleigh.com as a MS Word attachment.
