Description
Duties of this job require a high degree of expertise in the areas of cylindrical grinding and machining.
A keen eye for detail, and an innovative, high-energy approach to work is the path to success in this position.
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be responsible for:
•Cost estimating / Quoting
•Production process planning
•Engineering (including design of special tools/fixturing)
•Monitoring and evaluating overall manufacturing methods and work processes for production departments and coordinate changes for improvement.
•Approval of sub-contract vendors
•Issuing and monitoring subcontracted operations
Requirements
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minimum 5 years process engineering experience in a job shop environment. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing practices and one-piece flow are critical. Familiarity with machining aerospace parts is a plus.
