Process Safety Engineer

Description:The Process Safety Engineer is accountable for process safety compliance / delivery across the refinery. This position provides technical process safety guidance/support, creating competitive advantage through distinctive performance, innovative strategies, and responsible plant operations. This position provides a key partnership role in leading process safety performance across the plant, interacting with managers, superintendents, supervisors, and represented crafts and operators.This position is located in the City of Carson, in Southern California.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering.Experience in process safety or fire protection engineering at a petroleum or chemical processing facility preferred. May offset some chemical or petroleum facility experience requirements.Minimum 3 years or more of process engineering in a petroleum or chemical processing facility. Alternatively, 10 or more years operations or maintenance experience in a chemical or petroleum facility.
