Process Technology Leader

Responsibilities:
• Lead the function of Process Engineering across all of  Specialty Materials, develop and implement best practices
• Directly accountable for the benefit assessment of Specialty Material sites for incremental improvements to incumbent processes, subsequent scope development and securing necessary funding and support through life cycle of asset
• Responsible for people management of a staff of Process Engineers (7-10 Process Engineers)
• Partners with the Business Area, Research and Development, Plant Asset Managers (Site Leads / Site Technical Managers) to coordinate and align to cross functional initiatives engaging technical resources
• Provide support to the sites on the business STRAP, assuring robust process improvement / support activities are consistent and documented across Specialty Material Products Sites.
• Serves as ‘Steward of Installed Technologies’, accountable for competitor analysis
• Leads Process Safety Compliance across Specialty Material Products
• Identifies, Scope and Implement Process Improvements to Incumbent Processes exceeding $3MM / Yr
• Inventory process engineering / technology key skills and support systems (like Knowledge Management) to sustain / grow capability
• Skillful application of standard work processes (functional excellence), including supporting CPMP, engineering design standards, engineering operating procedures, inherent safety, HAZOP, Fault Tree Analysis, value engineering, etc.



Requirements:
• B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering required, M.S. preferred.
• 15-20 years experience of increasingly related responsibilities in the implementation and exploitation of process engineering / technology design of chemical systems,
• 5-10 years of progressive Management experience required.
• Chemical plant / manufacturing plant knowledge a must!
• Experience in the management of financial budgets, projects, troubleshooting, team building, and overall leadership sought.
