Reports to:   Director of Accounting

Description: Develop and implement procurement and purchasing strategies for company. Take advantage of cost reduction opportunities as they are defined Develop and implement improvements for purchasing and procurement process. Manage existing relationships with suppliers to meet client department and company needs, including vendor qualification process Oversee compliance of suppliers with material specification and performance metrics Collect and maintain market intelligence and corporate information on suppliers and their markets Negotiate supply agreements for materials for the company Create strategic supplier relationships with key suppliers to meet/exceed company requirements for cost reduction for direct and indirect material and services Solicit and gain input/support and needed resources from business units to pursue specification and joint process improvement initiatives Serve as key point of contact and leader on all matters related to procurement and Deltek Costpoint ERP purchasing module Preparation of SF294 and SF295 reports to Government agencies and applicable clients

 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management or related field.

Experience/Skills:

 Multiple years of direct buying in the defense industry using knowledge of FARs/ DFARs Experience in competitive procurement, participating in source selection teams generating various procurement instruments Excellent communication and analytical skills Negotiation experience Minimum of 7-10 experience in procurement related background Excellent management and teamwork skills Deltek Costpoint ERP purchasing module experience
