Yoh Engineering has an immediate contract opportunity for a PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST at their Flanders, NJ office.PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES:• Provides a full range of source selection and procurement functions for product materials, facility and capital purchases and services. • Provides regular updates to project plans, purchasing systems. • Participates in buying strategies to purchase and arrange timely deliveries of suppliers and materials; expedites as needed and serves as liaison between vendors and users. • Resolves quality or other related problems with purchases and invoices. • Participates in negotiation of prices, terms and quality requirements. • Prepares requests for quotes to support various development programs. • Collaboration with various team support functions: Engineering, Quality, Document Services and other Procurement support functions as required. • Identification of areas of risk, opportunities to avoid potential conflicts of interest. • Requires communication with supply base, expediting and follow up to support reporting activities.REQUIREMENTS:• BS/BA in related discipline required. • Experience in manufacturing environment highly preferred. • Experience with MS Office applications – Word, Excel; Access and SAP experience preferred. • Drug screen – 5 Panel. • Background check – 5-7 years Misdemeanor and Felony. • Education verification. • Expertise with Microsoft Word and Excel required – knowledge of Access and SAP highly preferred.Discover all that’s possible with Yoh Engineering.
