Product Development Engineer - Electronics

Salary Range: Competitive, based on experience
Reports to:Department Manager
Position Availability: Immediate

Responsibilities:

·Champion the development of new products from concept through production

·  Assist marketing in the creation of product specifications

·  Develop hardware and firmware for products using embedded microcontrollers

·  Direct product qualification testing

·  Guide the design of production test equipment

·  Ensure smooth transition of designs into production

·  Drive design improvements to ensure product reliability and quality


Qualifications:

·  BSEE with five or more years of new product development experience

·  Experienced in designing circuitry using embedded microcontrollers

·  Proficient in coding microcontrollers in assembler and C

·  Skilled in the design of analog signal interface circuits

  for monitoring voltage, current, pressure and other parameters

·  Knowledgeable with serial communication links and protocols

such as RS485, IrDA, USB, Ethernet, and Modbus.

·  Familiarity with agency approvals and requirements (UL,CSA, CE)
