Product Manager

Commercial Grounds Care, Inc., located in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin, is an industry leader in the development, assembly and marketing of high quality outdoor power lawn and garden equipment for commercial and residential use

This position will be responsible for managing the product life cycle, profit/loss of assigned product lines, and development of new, innovative  products.  This includes developing/updating product specifications and achieving market leading quality/reliability/profitability.  Responsible for leading cross functional efforts in sales, quality, engineering, finance, operations and service to optimize profitability and customer satisfaction.

 

SPECIFIC & ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

· Participate in formulation of brand position strategy and execution.

· Identify potential products to develop new business in support of brand positioning and growth strategy.

· Manage the product P/L’s and play a lead cross-functional role in the full life cycle management from concept and feasibility, specification, development, testing, launch, production, warranty and service.

· Establish product development roadmaps with input from other departments.

· Identify customer requirements using qualitative and quantitative analysis to see the unmet and unspoken needs.

· Translate business strategic direction and brand strategy with product life cycle plans.

· Establish project priorities and translate customer requirements into crisp new product definitions (Design Guides), identifying specific features and benefits desired.

· Lead the cross-functional product development teams in achieving the goals and agreed upon project schedules of the approved product programs (performance, quality and reliability, profitability, project timing and cost).

· Improve current product quality, reliability and performance by identifying opportunities for cross-functional teams.

· Support/participate in the marketing communication planning/business and sales planning,  and sales training development.

· Overall:  Serve as the product line champion within the company; be a problem solver and be a team leader/player in a matrix environment.
