PRODUCT SPECIALIST

 

Precision Twist Drill Co., a leading manufacturer of HSS and carbide round tools, and part of the world leading Dormer Group, has an immediate opening for a Product Specialist.

 

Key Performance Areas:

The Product Specialist will be responsible for managing the product lifecycle and steer the product assortment to increase profitable sales.

 

Additional Responsibilities Include:

§ Specify new product programs to ensure the Product Area continually has a competitive edge.

§ Develop the marketing forecasts for new products and ensure ROI on new product introductions.

§ Position & develop the marketing message for new products in conjunction with the Marketing Communications department.

§ Execute product phase out decisions including replacement guidance.

§ Execute product deletion decisions.

§ Maintain close contacts with end user customers and the Sales Channels in order to monitor the market and manage the product offer.

§ Generate training materials and provide training on new and existing products for the Sales Force, Channels and End User Customers.

 

Your Profile:

Ideal Candidate will live in the Chicagoland area and possess a Technical or Bachelors degree in an Engineering related field and have at least 5+ years experience working in a manufacturing industry. Candidate must be self directed and able to work independently and have excellent communication skills.  Previous experience working with customers and end users necessary.  Ability to travel 50% is required.
