Position Overview:Chevron North America Exploration & Production Company is accepting online applications for the position of Sundown Production Engineer, located in Midland, Texas.The Sundown Production Engineer is part of a multi-disciplinary field management team which includes Production/Operations Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Earth Science, Operations, Facility Engineering and Well Construction. The focus of this position is on enhancing base production through sound asset/reservoir management, development drilling, new projects, well-bore management (artificial lift, workovers, completions, etc.) and near-well-bore reservoir optimization, as well as assisting the operations team with cost management initiatives. Qualifications:Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Provide well surveillance, injection and production enhancement, workover generation, well stimulation, artificial lift (technical support), and technology application. • The ability to identify drilling opportunities and opportunities to initiate or expand secondary and tertiary operations. • The ability to identify areas for optimization and production enhancement.• The ability to review well performance and reservoir surveillance and merge this information into an action plan will be a key to success.• The ability to communicate and coordinate with the field operations personnel.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:In order to be considered for this job, applicants must have: • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.• A minimum of 3+ years of directly related experience.• Strong knowledge and experience in artificial lift, workovers, completions, and reservoir optimization• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.Relocation Options:Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:US-TX-Midland Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Engineering
