Project Assignments include the need for:

Consultants to assist in the enhancement of current production processes and cost reduction activities, and lean manufacturing implementation in the field of automotive wiring systems. A profile of the type of experience required includes: At least 8 years of successful experience as a Consultant to suppliers who are engaged in the process of improving their Production & Quality Systems, Cost Reduction Programs, and Product Delivery. Assisting suppliers by working with managers and supervisors to understand modern techniques for production optimization, production costing, lean manufacturing and process improvements. Previous hands-on experience in working as a Manufacturing Engineer to assess manufacturing capacity, identify problems, perform Root Cause Analysis, and develop successful and practical solutions to manufacturing problems. Ability to drive successful Plant improvements. Should be familiar with the wiring systems sector (i.e. pre-formed cable sets, complete wiring designs (flat conductor technology, electronic systems). Expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles, and experience in facilitating Lean Transformations. Experience as a Mentor or Coach to emerging market suppliers; helping them to understand the delivery criteria of European and North American customers. Solid knowledge of quality processes, and experience in evaluating and implementing them. Ability to observe areas for improvement, and guide suppliers in a pro-active and positive manner toward reaching their business objectives. Knowledge of the 'best practices' of in the automotive industry Ability to evaluate process technology on the plant floor and make recommendations. Experience in working with all levels of personnel; from shop floor to CEO. Part of the role will focus on coaching the upper management to implement new practices. Must be able to think on your feet, provide consultative feedback, and also write reports as required by the scope of work.
