GENERAL SUMMARYSPX Flow Controls, a $300M global business headquartered in Houston, TX develops solutions for applications found in general industrial, oil & gas, power generation and pulp and paper applications. Valve products include globe, control, gate, butterfly, ball, and surge relief valves. Brands include M&J Valve, Dezurik and Copes-Vulcan. This position manages the repair and remanufacturing process and staff for the OFM product lines.   PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)1.  Achieves repair & remanufacturing objectives by establishing operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.2.  Determines production priorities by reviewing customer orders and requirements and production schedules; analyzing equipment, materials, and employee availability; coordinating schedules with sales and warehousing.3.  Resolves scheduling problems by analyzing reports; developing solutions.4.  Provides management control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing production data and trends.5.  Updates plant priorities by reviewing production output and new requirements. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/SKILLS1.  BA in an Engineering or related field, MBA a plus2.  3+ years in a leadership role with direct management / supervisory responsibilities within an repair/remanufacturing environment in the oil, gas, pipeline and storage industries.3.  Hands-on experience in welding and machining operations.  4.  Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma preferred, not required PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
