Production Technician III WANTED for Custom Automotive Company!

Our clients’ products meet their customers’ needs in five general areas, Fuel Systems, Brake Systems, Air Management, Cab Controls and Seat Controls. They are now looking to add to their team of Creative Professionals within the Production department. This position is a Temp to Hire position, Monday – Friday with shifts varying between the hours of operation from 5:30am to 4:00pm. The requirements listed below are the basics, a full job description will be sent to qualified candidates and are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Two year certificate from college or technical school in engineering, mathematics, drafting, electronics, or sciences and +5 years experience as a manufacturing technician. Equivalent work experience in place of schooling can be looked at on a case-by-case basis.SUMMARY:Performs, under minimum supervision, a variety of semi-routine tasks, in support of production, to ensure continuous improvement of product flow, quality, and efficiencies. Analyzes and directs repairs of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical production equipment, tooling, fixtures, and processes. Designs and sets up production testing and monitoring, evaluates test results, and directs the maintenance, utilization, and purchasing of production equipment and devices. Demonstrates good judgment, diagnostic ability, and ability to initiate and follow through with projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:? Identify, evaluate and resolve line-down issues. ? Analyze and direct/perform repairs on production equipment, tooling, and fixtures.? Equipment design, documentation, implementation and optimization.? Initiate projects improving safety, quality, and efficiency of manufacturing lines.? Design and execute experiments and tests for the evaluation and validation of processes.? Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term resolution to customer concerns (CCF’s).? Generate and maintain process operation sheets, PFMEA’s, process flow diagrams, and other process related documents.? Estimate initial cost for labor and process development to support new products. ? Support NPI projects by developing processes and equipment which meet safety, quality and cost targets.? Direct and priorities the activities of other junior (Technician I&II) technicians.? Coordinate with internal/external resources on support and improvement activities.? Maintains work environments and records in an identified, logical, and organized condition.? Establishes and performs Preventive Maintenance on required production equipment.?
