Professional Engineer - PE - Licensed - Virginia, Williamsburg Office

Job Responsibilities

As a licensed professional engineer, assist with managing projects and guiding the technical efforts of professional and support staff in our Civil Engineering Department. The successful applicant will have the authority to review and seal engineering documents prepared under their direct supervision and to consult with clients to review project status and compliance with the agreed to scope of work as well as make recommendations to modify scopes to management and where appropriate to the Client. Responsibilities will include: assisting with the mentoring of technical staff; recommend project work scope; present and explain proposals, reports, and designs to clients; plan and directproject schedules and budgets. Work directly with engineering design team members, to include other unlicensed and licensed engineers and technical staff. Coordinate project approvals with review entities. Monitor projects from initiation through completion. Requires excellent communication skills and knowledge of local, state and federal permit procedures.

 

Preferred Experience

Civil P.E. with 8 to 15 years of experience in design and management of commercial, institutional and/or residential site development projects preferred. Hands-on capabilities in CADD with the design of infrastructure to include drainage and stormwater management facilities, sanitary sewer and water systems is needed. Some management experience highly desired. Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining schedule required.
