POSITION PURPOSEParticipates in the design, development, implementation and communication of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategies, initiatives and project / programs. Responsible for the ongoing configuration and development of automated solutions leveraging Salesforce.com and other CRM applications as appropriate, to effectively support the QLogic Channel sales, OEM sales, Business Development and Marketing organizations. Accomplishes tasks individually as well as through cross-functional or departmental teams. Participates in the definition of CRM strategy, required actions and arrangement of required resources.II. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES1. Manages and executes CRM projects to enhance and/or rollout new, automated processes in response to business needs.2. Defines and implements new business practices utilizing Salesforce.com.3. Identifies, plans, implements new, and optimizes existing Salesforce.com features and functionality (screens, workflows, S-controls, reports, etc.).4. Leads the assessment and implementation of Salesforce.com customization projects and enhancements, leveraging AppExchange solutions and / or 3rd party development partners as necessary and justified.5. Participates in the evaluation and optimization of data quality and reporting to ensure effective Sales and/or Marketing initiatives.6. Proactively performs system administration, set-up, configuration, customization, and testing of Salesforce.com to meet business specifications, including such tasks as:a. Adding, deletion and modification of users, as employees are hired, transferred or leave the organizationb. Serving as the single point of contact for questions from the user communityc. Assisting with bulk imports and assigning ownership of leads, contacts, accounts and opportunitiesd. Maintaining security profiles and access rights for userse. Maintaining, adding or deleting auto-sharing rulesf. Configuring custom reports and dashboardsg. Creating, editing or deleting custom fields and custom objects h. Creating workflow rules to streamline business processes i. Creating and updating custom page layouts and record types j. Resetting user passwords k. Assisting with email marketing administrationl. Developing and maintaining custom application extensions using system APIs m. Auditing, uncovering and resolving data integrity issuesn. Escalating issues to Salesforce.com or other Technical Support as required7. Identifies, recommends and documents best practices, business rules, workflows, policies, and procedures.8. Drives high level of user adoption through development and delivery of timely and effective training, communication and monitoring.9. Leads and/or participates in integration projects to enable efficiencies between Salesforce.com and other web-based or in-house application systems, such as Oracle and/or Partner Relationship Management applications.10. Develops, maintains and adheres to project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure business needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner.Required SkillsThree (3) or more years hands-on experience with Salesforce.com, or a combination of Salesforce.com and other CRM platforms, with demonstrated experience in configuration, customization and reporting.Two (2) or more years Project Management experience.Good understanding of how a CRM application can be utilized to improve overall business processes as well as solid understanding of integrating CRM systems with other enterprise systems.Solid conceptual understanding of accounts, leads, opportunities and contacts.Strong project management, business process, analytical and problem solving skillsStrong working knowledge of data management. Experience with Data Loader and other data scrubbing and reporting tools is a major plus.Working knowledge of Salesforce Objects, APEX Programming language, Javascript, SDL tool, SOAP, and Java and software development methodologies.Demonstrated ability to organize and manage complex projects, on schedule and on budget.Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and tasks for several user groups.Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.Detailed, organized and results oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective presentation skills and ability to work comfortably with all levels of the organizations.Previous sales and/or marketing experience a major plus.Previous experience managing CRM applications for a high tech or electronics OEM a major plus.Strong team building skills, with a positive, customer service-oriented attitude.A Bachelors degree or equivalent training or experience in a Business-related discipline or technology field.
