Alliant Techsystems (ATK)-Tactical Propulsion and Controls Systems has a challenging opportunity for aProgram Manager (Tactical Propulsion and Control Programs) in Elkton, MD. This Division ofATK specializes in the production of tactical propulsion systems and composite metal structures.The Program Manager will manage TPC programs with responsibility for cost, schedule and technical performance.This position oversees financial reporting which may include EVMS reporting.The Program Manager will represent ATK in the customer community and lead the program team.The incumbent will direct functional organizations to achieve program objectives while managing risks and opportunities.The Program Manager is responsible for resolving contractual issues and assisting with proposal/change proposal preparation.The Program Manager will promote a focus on safety and employ lean/PES/Six Sigma tools through program planning and execution.Requirements: BS in Engineering or Science and 10 years of aerospace or DoD contracting experience.Demonstrated team leadership skills.Knowledge of FAR, ITAR, financial systems, and EVMS.Exemplary and professional verbal and written communications skills.An MBA is preferred.Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Applicants may also be required toobtain a clearance from ATF.
