Chevron Project Resources Company in Houston, Texas is currently searching for a Project Controls Advisor-AnLNG.The Project Controls Advisor (PCA) is a critical member of a project team, reporting to the Project Controls Manager. The Project Management Team (PMT) is located at our Downtown Houston offices, but it is anticipated the PMT will transition to Soyo, Angola in this year. The PCA will either function as the Project Planning and Scheduling Supervisor, or will be assigned (deployed) to provide cost and schedule support to one of the Project teams. The PCA is responsible for compliance with Chevron and Angola LNG Ltd. policies and procedures, development and maintenance of controls systems to support contracting strategies, and contract administration. The position is responsible for establishing and maintaining interfaces with key stakeholders of the projects, and provides accurate and timely reports. The successful candidate must have knowledge of project business services and possess a broad background in economics, planning/budgeting, project cost control, finance/accounting, or scheduling.Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:Planning Supervisor:-Continuously monitors business performance and gives advice on status and corrective actions. -Maintains control systems utilizing Primavera scheduling software for the project and key contracts. Develops reporting methods and generate reports on a regular basis. Implements a cost and schedule risk analysis process using Pertmaster.-Interacts frequently with the Project Team Leads on tracking performance against schedule. Develops and maintains manpower plans, etc.-Responsible for project planning and scheduling. Designs and implements progress and schedule control systems for project. -Provides mentoring to other project controls personnel.Deployed Project Controls Advisor:-Continuously monitors business performance and gives advice on status and corrective actions. -Maintains control systems utilizing Primavera scheduling software or Kildrummy Cost Manager for the project and key contracts. Develops reporting methods and generate reports on a regular basis.-Supervises cost analyst(s). Tracks trends and controls changes to budget and schedule. Prepares project cash flow and expenditure forecasts, and routine cost/schedule reports. -Interfaces with Finance group for monthly accruals. Develops interface with cost control systems and CVX financial systems-Coordinates and interfaces with Planning Supervisor to maintain information for overall schedule coordination. -Works collaboratively with the multi-functional teams to prepare budgets and plans. Provides mentoring to other project controls personnel. -Provides support for preparation of Business Plans, Appropriation Requests etc.-Interfaces closely with the Finance Group in the Business Unit to provide project related input into budgets and reports.Required Qualifications:-Bachelor's Degree required in Project or Construction Management, Engineering, or Accounting.-Project Control experience on an onshore international oilfiled or gasfield development Major Capital Project (USD $1 Billion or more).-Previous experience with development and training of National staff.-Hands-on user of Primavera, Pertmaster, and/or Kildrummy Cost Manager software is a plus.
