Job Title:  Project Engineers

Location:  Cortland, NY

 

The opportunity has arisen for Project Engineers to join this global organization which respects diverse perspectives, experiences and traditions as essential and values each employee’s contribution toward achieving our business objectives.

 

This position will involve:

 Developing and setting up test plans Conducting electrical and/or mechanical testing on various products to determine compliance with applicable standards Perform electrical/electronic/electromechanical equipment design and construction reviews to various North American and European standards Analyzing and interpreting test data Preparing technical reports and engineering judgments Communicating with clients, sales personnel and management as needed Assist with training and development of engineering staff Review project files for compliance with operating procedures Identify roadblocks to quality and efficiency, and offer solutions to Operations Manager Make business recommendations on capital expenditures and other initiatives

 

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

 

·Bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineer, or equivalent

· 2-6 years directly related experience

· Prior conformity assessment experienceExcellent communication skills, in verbal, written and presentation formats Excellent organization and time management skills Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to train staff and work in a team environment Ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment Prior project management experience is a plus Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables Ability to make technical decisions and engineering judgments independently within established parameters Prefer registered New York State Professional Engineer  Ability to travel 25%
