The Laurel, Maryland office of Greenhorne & O’Mara, Inc. has an opportunity for a Project Manager - Bridge Structures.

 

The ideal candidate must have these absolute and basic qualifications/requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

• A minimum of 5 years bridge structure experience 

• MicroStation experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong technical background in Structural Engineering

• Experience with bridge inspection evaluation and rating

 

Preferred skills that will assist the candidate in succeeding in the role are:

• MSCE

• Other structural design software experience

 

Job duties include:

• Hands-on structural engineer will design, as well as supervise day-to-day technical work

• Will oversee small and large bridge/highway projects, as well as bridge inspection projects

• Perform analysis and design of all types of structural projects, including but not limited to, new design, rehabilitation design and remedial design.

• Must be able to work and motivate junior engineers and direct the staff for projects

• Will be responsible for quality, budget and delivery of projects to clients

• Will interact with clients and maintain appropriate communication with internal and external clients; help department head with various departmental and marketing activities as needed
