Project Manager - Plant Engineering

Our client specializes in capital, grass roots, and plant-related engineering, design, procurement, commissioning and operability projects for various industries throughout the United States and abroad. This group is currently looking for a Project Manager to work with an established on-site engineering team in a large Petrochemical facility in LaPlace, LA. This is a contract to direct hire opportunity and the benefits of working at this site are that it is a family atmosphere as well as a long term opportunity.

 

Duties:

Provide process engineering support for plant operational problems. Complete small projects

and lead project priorities in area assigned. Manage projects of all levels to be on time and within budget.

 Experience Requirements:

Plant operational experience in process troubleshooting. Knowledge of plant quality control

with PSM and best practices of repairs. Project coordination with site resources and offsite vendors.

 

Skills & Abilities:

Microsoft Office Tools with project execution. Good interpersonal skills are key. Chemical plant knowledge of plant systems, scrubbers, heat exchangers, towers, etc. required.

 

Education Requirements

B.S. Chemical Engineering Degree, Professional Engineer is a PLUS!

 

Systems Knowledge:

Plant systems in general.

 

Software Knowledge:

Microsoft Office Tools and SAP is a plus.
