Project Manager - Water/Wastewater Treatment

Specific responsibilities include leadership in the application of CH2M HILL’s Project Delivery System to achieve the following project delivery strategic objectives: Health, safety, environmental responsibility Client expectations for quality, schedule, and budget Financial performance for project specific targets Project team expectations Operational performance and business unit expectations Quality Specific duties include planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety, and coordination of subcontractors and internal technical and support staff. The project manager is a participant in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling, and performance. Additionally, the project manager is responsible for the identification of schedule and cost variances and the development and implementation of recommendations for corrective action for negative variances. The project manager also has a responsibility to help grow the project manager resources of the firm through coaching of associate project managers and task managers. Typical work assignments in the Water Business Group include projects in wastewater treatment, water treatment, and water reclamation. Project components include project planning, studies, preliminary design, final design, and services during construction. Project study assignments include evaluation of treatment facilities, including liquid and biosolids treatment technologies that may include chemical, biological, and mechanical methods. Evaluations also include conveyance facilities, including pump stations for transfer of liquids and solids, piping, and controls systems. Study evaluations include alternatives analysis, methods for implementation, and cost analysis. Project design assignments include process engineering, interdicipline design supervision and design coordination, preparation of construction plans and bid document specifications, office engineering construction support, coordination with facility operations staff, start-up assistance, and contract administration. Works with other senior staff in business development efforts, including client contacts, proposal preparation, and project positioning activities. Nevada experience and client knowledge base preferred. QualificationsBasic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering and a minimum of 6 years of experience is required. Nevada PE license within one year required.Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field is required; Masters degree is preferred. Ideal candidates will have between 9-14 years of experience. Must have Nevada PE license within 1 year.
