Responsible for the direction and performance of all design, procurement and construction operations on a specific project,ranging in size between $50 and $300 M, to ensure the work is performed in conformance with the project objectives and requirements. Lead and manage the Engineering Project Manager, the Procurement Manager and the Construction Project Manager in effectively delivering a specific project. Promote and maintain liaison with owner’s representative(s). Responsible for the implementation of an effective safety, quality and security program. Financially responsible for profit and loss for a specific project. Will not be required to relocate to a project site but will be required to spend a lot of time in the field during construction.Implement and maintain an effective construction safety and security program.Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the project execution plan.Implement and maintain effective management, planning, and cost control systems.Advise management of developments that may affect profit, costs, schedules, and client relations.Identify and evaluate risk that may have an impact on the project.Assure effective contingency plans for potential problems are maintained.Responsible for assuring that all required licenses are obtained.Manage change process with the Client and subcontractors, “Stop, Drop and Price”.Implement and maintain an effective quality control process.Knowledgeable of Contract terms and conditions and Subcontract terms and conditions.Review and approve of all personnel assignments within the project staffing plan.Manage subordinates through goal setting, training, counseling, and standards of performance.Establish and maintain communications to ensure accurate and timely flow of information.Conduct regular project reviews with project staff, senior management and the client.Participate in business development activities and manages the client relationships.Participate in project acquisition activities including bids, proposals and contract negotiations.Implement and maintains an effective labor relations and similar programs.Responsible for positive cash management.Responsible to ensure EAC Reports are properly reviewed with project team prior to issuance.Issue monthly status reports to keep management informed on project progress, direct and indirect project costs and forecasts and other activities that are a part of the work.Close out report including lessons learned log.Administer project per the contract, policies and procedures for the maximum benefit of the company.QualificationsMust have Power Industry Background20 years Construction experience.10 years experience in Project ManagementBackground working in the Power Industry managing projects EPC projects Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated success in managing EPC processes.Proficient in managing and directing peopleAbility to listen to client needs and communicate those needs to the project teamAbility to recognize risk element of projectsComputer skills with Microsoft Office products and corporate standards.Background working in the Power Industry managing EPC projects in Combined Cycle, Clean Air and Coal ProjectsMust have strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, and must be able to work independently, as well as, within a team.College degree, preferably in engineering or construction management.Benefits: Medical and Dental Plans Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance Short Term and Long Term Disability Income 401(k) Plan with company match Employee Ownership Paid Time Off Program Flexible Work Scheduling Business Casual Dress Learning and Development Opportunities Tuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance Program Voluntary Auto and Homeowners InsuranceCompany Profile:Employee-owned CH2M HILL is a global leader in engineering, procurement, construction and operations for public and private clients.
