The Quality Engineering Program Managers are responsible for Controls &Electronics programs from concept to volume production for their assigned product category. They will engage the other members of the Global Quality Organization as needed in the development and manufacturing processes. Program Managers will be the primary interface with the category leaders regarding quality. Program managers will be responsible to ensure the quality deliverables are achieved according to program timing. The Quality Program Managers must be able to direct resources at strategic areas of concern to alleviate issues and ensure maximum customer quality.

QE PMs will manage the quality of each program from concept through volume production . QE PMs will be able to identify and mitigate risks to programs and take effective action QE PMs will be able to lead multi-disciplined team efforts in problem resolution efforts Ensure timely participation of component, reliability/validation, design quality, supplier quality, and factory quality engineering. Periodically provide category quality reports to the category leadership. Lead category and product improvement projects. Ensure use of warranty data in new designs. Monitor and analyze quality data incoming from the field or production lines Generates key learnings across specified categories to drive continuous improvement Manages communication and reporting across the Global structure Requirements:

Direct cross-functional projects with the assistance of many team players Analyze, evaluate and document data, standards and systems Identify, analyze and solve problems Implement and monitor quality systems and utilize quality tools Coordinate Whirlpool resources to identify and resolve program issues Interface directly with design resources to manage change control Manage resources and prioritize activities as they relate to category programs Communicate clearly quality objectives

What you need to succeed in this position:

Masters Degree preferred, B.S. in Electrical Engineering Ability to identify program risk, prioritize actions, and mitigate issue impact Experience and knowledge with quality systems, and quality tools implementation Strong background using problem solving tools, and corrective action processes Black Belt training/certification required Experience managing programs/long term projects An understanding of specific electronic and electro-mechanical control systems Ability to interact with various Manager and Senior Manager Functions Ability to communicate issues clearly Minimum 10 years experience in appropriate field Outstanding people skills, with the specific ability to interact as a lead player Dynamic self-starter with admirable management skills Strong decision making skills In-depth computer skills related to specific needs of position Clear vision to observe action of products/processes and use of computer/communication system Ability to travel and meet with other Whirlpool or supplier operations Impeccable communication and presentation skills with the ability to multitask
