REFINERY ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Our client company is a major petroleum Refiner with multiple facilities throughout the US is increasing capacity at each facility and undergoing plant process optimization.  They are currently looking to hire several electical engineers.

 

Job Duties:Provides total planning and execution of petroleum refinery electrical projects, provides electrical support to multi-disciplined projects and provides technical assistance to maintenance and operation in efforts to improve electrical system reliability.The primary focus is on the distribution systems from the 34.5kV level on down. Serves as project manager for assigned electrical projects by assuming responsibility for the execution of the overall effort.Develops project budget, prepares detailed engineering documents, procurement of equipment and materials, construction contracting, provides technical support to construction and startup personnel, cost control and tracking, project schedule development/cost control, and project reporting.Provides technical field service, troubleshooting, recommendations for repairs in the field, general consulting on electrical issues, participation in Root Cause Failure Analyses, and mentoring of personnel working in the I&E shop.Updates and maintains electrical system relay coordination and short circuit studies.Prepares high voltage switching procedures and coordinates/oversees the execution by Operations or Maintenance personnel.Provide expertise in latest accepted National Electrical Code Book.Develop & improve New Construction & Design Department knowledge of NEC code.Proposes amendments to electrical specifications as necessary to address latest codes and technology.Manages multiple projects simutaneously within a managed budget and execution schedule.Follows all safety rules and guidelines as established by the Refinery.

Required Work Experience:3-5 years Electrical Engineering experience in refinery/petrochemical process.

Required Education:BS in Electrical EngineeringSalary: DOERelocation available.Schedule:  8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday

Compensation is very competitive (DOE).  These are full-time positions eligible for benefits and paid relocation.
