RF Design Engineer

 

This position encompasses both design engineering and system development for a leading company in the delivery of automated test equipment and automated test system solutions for electromagnetic testing.

 

Qualifications and Experience

The candidate should have both analytical skills as well as “hands on� practical skills required for product/system design and development as related to RF subsystems and antennas used in antenna and radar automated test systems, being able to participate in system development from concept to system integration and test.

Knowledge of general RF components and subsystems is requied, as well as a general understanding of antennas and antenna measurements. Previous experience designing RF subsystems using power budget, noise figure, and transmission formula analysis is desired. Experience in performing antenna measurements is desired as well.

An ability to operate test equipment such as a vector network analyzer, run automated data acquisition software, and interpret measurement results is a desired skill to assist in system development.

Experience with electromagnetic and propagation modeling software is a plus. The candidate must have good writing skills; proposal writing will be a key required task in this position.

A Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Physics is required. 

Must be a US citizen and have ability to attain classified clearances if necessary.

Must be able to travel on a limited basis world wide.
