RF Implement Engineer

Cerento, Inc., the leader in the design and deployment of wireless networks for the oil and gas industry, is seeking a bright, energetic, and innovative individual to join our RF Engineering team to design microwave radio installations. 

 

Skills/Qualifications:

 

·  Must be able to generate complete equipment specifications and bill of materials for tower-mounted installations with heights ranging from 50’ to 500’.

·  Must have at least two years of experience with either amateur or commercial grade radio equipment.

·  Must be familiar with a variety of tower mounting hardware for coax, wave-guides, and antennas.

·  Must be familiar with the installation of a variety of tower-based communications equipment including, MW dishes, heliax, waveguide, panel and omni antennae.

·  Must have an understanding of communication equipment/tower grounding systems, knowledge of Motorola’s R56 or industry standard grounding practices is a plus.

·  Must be able to specify power system input requirements.

·  Must be able to design reliable AC or DC power systems.

·  Must be able to work on multiple complex projects/tasks concurrently.

·  Exhibit strong quantitative and analytical skills.

·  Comfortable serving as the customer-facing member of an engineering team.

·  Ability to travel 25%.

 

Ideal candidates will also have:

 

·  Experience with a variety of 900 MHz, 2.4, 5.4, and 5.7 GHz antennas. Technical experience with licensed microwave equipment a plus.

·  Experience with RF test equipment including spectrum analyzers, microwave frequency/power meters and related test equipment.

·  Previous work experience in an RF engineering role.

·  Prior experience conducting RF survey and site analyses work.

·  Experience with RF design and propagation analysis programs, including EDX and / or Path Loss software is desired.

·  Experience designing solar power systems for remote communications equipment.

·  Experience with TurboCAD or AutoCAD and MS Visio.
