RF/Systems Enginner:

 

The technology is “800 MHz Project 25 compliant interoperable two-way trunked radio systems".  The position involves coverage design of the transmitter site locations, producing engineering design drawings and working with our customer to define the requirements.  Additionally, acceptance testing and coverage testing of the overall system.

 

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations: The role of the Systems Engineer is focused on the presale / post-sale phase of the project activities. It includes having an active role in the design; implementation and engineering control of project activities, ensuring innovative designs that meet the Customer's expectations and bring value to State and Local Government Public Safety Agencies. The Systems Engineer is expected to multitask among various project assignments, adhere to project schedules and perform within the established project budget. As such, the individual must be proficient in utilizing sound systems engineering tools and processes to successfully perform the technical analyses typically encountered when designing, implementing and controlling wireless communications systems. This position also requires strong communications skills to effectively interface with Customers at technical and executive levels as well as key work partners in Sales, Engineering, Program Management, Contracts, Proposal Specialists, Subcontractors, and Product Development representatives.

 

Specific Knowledge/Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronics / Communications Systems Engineering is preferred plus 5-7 years experience as a Systems Engineers designing and implementing wireless communications networks. Proven field experience with radio systems and RF engineering is required along with experience using design tools including RF propagation prediction models, inter-modulation analysis tools and Measurement tools.
