JOB TITLE: RF Technician

 

LOCATIONS: Baltimore/Washington

 

APPROXIMATE START DATE: ASAP

 

STATUS: Contract

 

Position Description:

 

Wireless Enterprises is looking for qualified candidates to perform as RF Technicians in the Baltimore/Washington area. This position will be reporting to the Construction and Project Manager, the RF Technician will act as the subject matter expert on the radio base station associated with the cellular network.  Technician will install and operate and maintain the peripheral equipment related to the operation of cellular equipment.  Technician will work in crews on job sites and will work alone with minimum supervision. 

Qualifications and Education:

Candidate MUST have working knowledge of telephony including T1, copper pairs, fiber, radio frequency principles and troubleshooting techniques.  Candidate must be self motivated and able to follow directions with minimal supervision and able to follow through on tasks to completion.  Candidate must be hands on and at ease configuring radios through a laptop as well as putting connectors on coax cable and turning bolts on a frame.  Candidate MUST have Nortel or Nokia BTS equipment experience.

Candidate must be willing to travel up to 25%

Candidate must have at least 4 years of experience

Nortel, Lucent, Nokia Certifications

Additional Desired Skills:

Training on the following equipment: T-Berd, Andrews and Commscope connectors.  Candidate should possess experience with RXAIT, duplexers, diplexers or MCPA equipment.
