Refrigeration Mechanic position currently available!



If you have knowledge of refrigeration, electromechanical and plumbing systems and prior on-the-job training hours in each trade area, we want to hear from you!

Opportunity: The Maintenance Refrigeration Mechanic B repairs, maintains and assists with installation of freezers and refrigerators, plumbing systems and HVAC systems for campus buildings and facilities. Maintain ammonia-based refrigeration equipment at the ice rink. Perform testing procedures to troubleshoot all electromechanical systems on campus equipment.



To succeed in this position, you must have a High school diploma or equivalent required with appropriate technical school training in refrigeration systems, electromechanical systems and plumbing systems. Must be RSES Type I and II Certified Refrigerant Technician or have ability to obtain. Must have valid driver's license and own vehicle for transportation of self, tools, and procuring small materials. Furnish own hand-tools for plumbing/mechanical work. Must be available to work flexible shifts and overtime. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
