Functions: Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordination and controlling all resources of the Design Engineering Electrical branch. Performs budget estimates, engineering data analysis, and written reports to manage both the contract fixed price performance and indefinite quantity requirements of the BOS Contract. Responsible for management, supervision, hands on design engineering and professional engineering as well as supervision of other junior engineers and draftsmen. Supervises other engineering support service such as but not limited to drafting, facility control inspections, maintenance record drawing files and contract performance report preparation. Develops, reviews, approves design drawings and engineering studies. Provides engineering consultation services to the BOS Contractors and to Navy personnel. Advises the Facility Management Director, Public Works personnel on long range planning and costs. Represents the division at meetings and negotiations, initiates and controls correspondence

 

Education: Must hold a current US professional engineer (P.E.) registration in the discipline of electrical engineering. Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from a fully accredited college or university.

 

Experience: Must have, at minimum, 5 years on hand electrical engineering from a fully accredited college or university. Must have design experience in facility electrical distribution systems, medium power distribution systems, and facility related electrical equipment.
