Qualifications:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Performance Plastics Engineered Components R&D Group is actively seeking a research engineer to carry out material design, process design, and test development at the Northboro Research & Development Center. The projects will focus on processes and materials used in the manufacture of high-performance engineered components, such as bearings, spring-energized seals, and specialty polymer parts. The skilled candidate will develop new polymer formulations and processing techniques that expand the markets into which engineered components are sold. The individual will interact across a broad range of levels, expertise, and geographic regions.COMPETENCIES: Interested candidates should possess a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related discipline. The candidates should be creative and innovative with a problem-solving mentality. Prior experience in mechanical applications engineering and mechanics of materials is desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse groups are required.
